Over the last couple of days we’ve had a large number of Grange Farm residents contact us about the closure of this footpath.
A fence has gone up with signs saying that “the area is now closed” and “do not enter”.
As your local Conservative ward councillor team we have spent all weekend speaking with your local Parish Council, Milton Keynes Council and the developer to understand what is going on and how these works will impact you.
Back in 2015, Labour-led Milton Keynes Council approved the next phase of the Western Expansion Area, which allows the extension of the V2, through Grange Farm to Whitehouse, going through the entrance to Hazeley Wood.
We have spoken with the developer who unfortunately failed to inform the correct Parish Council that works would be commencing this month, meaning that you have not been informed as you should have been.
Unfortunately, this area will now be closed for the duration of the works.
While we can’t reverse the decision that Labour-led Milton Keynes Council has taken, we are going to work hard to make sure that the impact is as minimal as possible.
We believe that you deserve better.
